It’s Desmosedici day at Donington Park tomorrow and while the whole world’s getting excited about some bloke called Murray hitting a bat at Wimbledon, I’m packing my leathers. After two years of waiting it looks like tomorrow may just be the day I get to ride the 197bhp V4 MotoGP replica. There’s no noise limit, Ducati test rider Vittoriano Guareschi will be doing laps on an old Capirossi 990 GP bike, and 75 Desmo RR owners are expected. That’s bikes worth 3.15million pounds all in one place. I just hope I get to sling a leg over one of them, as promised.
